Historic weapons demonstrations will be presented at the Castillo de
San Marcos each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30,
2:30, & 3:30. Rangers
and volunteers in Spanish colonial period uniforms will demonstrate the
weapons and relate the experiences of the colonial Spanish soldier of
1740s St. Augustine. Firing times are subject to change depending on
weather conditions and staff availability.

Maribel Angel's paintings are a poetic expression of her dreams and surroundings, created to enchant and visually stimulate the viewers' imagination. Endlessly intrigued with color and texture, Angel starts each painting as an exploration of these elements in a style described as "Fresco Nuevo," which simulates the qualities of an Italian fresco surface. Marianne will be showcasing her sculptural works in stone, marble, alabaster, and steatite which have also been shown nationally and internationally. Wine and appetizer reception will be catered by Ruth's Chris Steak House (PonteVedraBeach).

The festival grounds at the St. Augustine Beach Pier & Pavilion serve as a "Small German Oktoberfest". Activities include Beer Sampling with over 50 beers, Food, Ferris Wheel Ride, Games, German Folk Dancers, Polka Bands as well as two large tents adorned with German decorations containing food & entertainment. Event Pricing: $25.00 The Limelight Theatre's 2009-2010 season will kick off with the opening
of "Picnic" by William Inge on the Matuza Mainstage. "Picnic" runs from
Sept. 18-Oct. 18th with a champagne reception on OPENING NIGHT.
Showtimes will be Thursday Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at
2:00 pm. Tickets are $25.00 with a special Terrific Tuesday performance
Sept. 22 featuring two tickets for $25.00. A special preview tickets

Habitat
for Humanity is gearing up to start their second Apostles Build!Local churches and ministries will
combine volunteer labor and financial support to build a new Habitat home.The build will begin on October 16,
2009, and the home will be built on a plot of land that was donated to Habitat
by a ministry leader right here in St. Augustine! This is an excellent
opportunity to work together to help those in need of decent, affordable
housing in our community.
There is still time to sign up to participate in this exciting and
rewarding event!Each church or
ministry will need to assign an Apostles BuildCoordinator to put information into the church bulletin, recruit
participants and to work with Habitat on various build details.The build will last approximately four
months, with a break during the holidays.Approximately 15-20 volunteers will be needed from one or several
churches each Friday and Saturday.The church coordinator must contact Cheryl, Habitat’s Volunteer
Coordinator, at 826-3252 ext. 2006 or cheryldhabitat@bellsouth.net to sign your group up to volunteer.

Willie Green, Delta style bluesman: Born in Montgomery, Alabama in the
early 1930s, learned the blues early on in his teens when he would
hithhike or hop a freight train to town to hear the old blues masters
in the juke joints. He is self taught on both harmonica and guitar. Has
opened shows for John Hammond, Jr (who calls him “the real deal”),
Tommy Castro, Charlie Musselwhite, John Lee Hooker, JJ Grey (MOFRO) and
many others.
