Audubon Nature Walks are relaxing
two-hour strolls through local parks and neighborhoods.Participants explore all facets of
nature, not just the birds. Led by
St. Johns Audubon volunteers, the walks are both educational and fun.They are open to the public.No experience necessary!
The St. John’s County
Agriculture Center is always a
favorite spot for nature walks.There is a native plant arboretum, a vegetable garden, weedy fields for
sparrows, a pond for long-legged waders, and power lines and fences which often
sport bluebirds, doves, kestrels and more.You never know what you’ll find there.

Tasca, painter and art instructor, offers Fall classes.She has taught K-12, college level,
adult education, and holds a B.F.A. in Painting from the University of
Delaware, received certification in Art Education from The University of the
Arts, and attended Tyler School of Art.Her drawings and paintings reflect interest in a variety of topics using
elements that are, at times, symbolic. Joan’s work has won awards and is in private collections.
Joan’s formal,
academic training, and years of painting have prepared her to teach students to
“see” as an artist sees, working from actual situations.Whether they interpret it as realism or
abstraction is personal style.
