Historic weapons demonstrations will be presented at the Castillo de
San Marcos each Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 10:30, 11:30, 1:30,
2:30, & 3:30. Rangers
and volunteers in Spanish colonial period uniforms will demonstrate the
weapons and relate the experiences of the colonial Spanish soldier of
1740s St. Augustine. Firing times are subject to change depending on
weather conditions and staff availability.

The St. Johns County Veterans Council will be hosting a free Veterans Celebration on Sunday November 8th in the Flagler College Auditorium, 14 Granada St., St. Augustine, at 3:00 p.m.
The Celebration will kick off a week of Veterans events, at Francis Field and at the St. Augustine Lighthouse. The Flagler College Celebration will feature a local documentary, "Korea: Forgotten War, Remembered Heroes" featuring the stories of five local First Coast Korean War Veterans. This entertaining event will also have patriotic singing, dancing, comedy and the stories of our local veteran heroes.
The Veterans Council invites everyone to this free event to honor all our Veterans. Tickets are not needed, please tell all your friends.

Celebrate America’s War Veterans by attending the St. Augustine premiere of "Korea: Forgotten War, Remembered Heroes". The locally produced documentary features the stories of five Korean War Veterans from Florida’s First Coast.
This entertaining event will feature patriotic singing, dancing and comedy. The Veterans Celebration takes place at Flagler College Auditorium, 14 Granada Street in St. Augustine on Sunday November 8, 2009 beginning at 3 pm.
Admission is free and a free shuttle from the St. Augustine Historic Downtown Parking Facility to Flagler College Auditorium will be provided by Old Town Trolley Tours.

GUIDED BIRD WALK AT FORT MOSE HISTORIC STATE PARK -Bird enthusiasts welcomed to tour Fort Mose grounds-
Fort Mose Historic State will host a guided bird walk on November 8.
Led by a park volunteer, this fun, informative walk is open to the public and to birders of all levels. We’ll walk the boardwalk, see the rookery, and visit the new education building.

Please dress for the weather. Walks are free; park entrance fee is $4 per vehicle and $2 for trolley riders, walk-ins or for bicycle.
