It's a Wonderful Life Live Radio Play at A Classic Theatre
What’s old is new again!A Classic Theatre presents the familiar holiday story “It’s
A Wonderful Life” onstage as a live radio play. Written by Joe Landry, this
heartwarming tale of George Bailey discovering the truth of his impact in the
lives of his family, friends and community has an important message for each of
us: we matter!
Directed by Christine Fogarty, the talented (and agile) cast
of 6 actors portray over a dozen characters. The cast includes St. Augustine
residents Don Runk, Andy Nance, and Carol Mandell; Brian Natale (Jacksonville)
and Darlene Jacob and Cassandra LaMarco (Palm Coast). Claudia Dencer (St.
Augustine) is the harried Stage Manager.
A fascinating feature of the show is that the cast will create
a multitude of sound effects before your very eyes.Their ability to change characters mid-sentence is a
testament to their acting agility. The audience is an important part of the show as even the applause is
“live!”
The production takes us back to the “golden age of radio”
and promises to be an eye-opener for the younger set who will discover that at
one time electronic technology did not rule.
The production opens on Tuesday, December 1st in
the Limelight Theatre Studio Theatre at 11 Old Mission Avenue, uptown St.
Augustine for a total of 4 performances.Performances are on Tuesdays: December 1, 8, 22, and 29 at 7:30pm.Tickets are $20 with discounts available
for Seniors and Students.Reservations are strongly recommended and seating is limited. Suitable
for families.Call 904-829-5807 or

information.
