When you’re out and about during First Friday Art Walk be sure to join us for the Exhibition Opening of Alex Devereux: The American Traveler. The exhibit will be on display June 5 – August 16, 2026.
The American Traveler is a meditation on the restless spirit of exploration that defines the American experience. From the mythology of the open road to the enduring allure of Route 66, travel functions as both a literal journey and a powerful symbol of the American Dream. Devereux explores this ethos through iconic imagery: cars idling beneath neon signs, train tracks fading into distant horizons, and roadside architecture poised between past prosperity and present decline.

Where: Lightner Museum — please enter through the Radzinski Garden located at the rear of the museum.
