Independence Celebration at the Castillo de San Marcos

Be sure to stop by the Castillo de San Marcos for this special outdoor musical celebration helping launch the nation’s 250th anniversary festivities in historic St. Augustine!  The St. Augustine Music Festival (SAMF) has partnered with the National Park Service for this patriotic event.

When: Friday, July 3, 2026 | 9:00am-5:00pm

Featuring

* Fife and Drum Musicians       …  Interpretive music throughout the fort
* Brass Quintet Performances  …  Ceremonial fanfares and patriotic selections. On the hour at 1:00pm, 2:00pm, 3:00pm, and 4:00pm.

Performances will be throughout the day. Visitors can enjoy the live music while exploring the Castillo.  This is a perfect opportunity for family members of all ages to hear patriotic music while celebrating our nation’s history at a fort that was completed in 1695, many decades before the United States signed the Declaration of Independence.

Admission:   Free July 3-5, 2026
