St. Augustine Poetfest 2025

April 10-12, 2025 is the 4th annual St. Augustine Poetfest.  A celebration of creative writing and reciting, it is St. Johns County’s official recognition of National Poetry Month (April).

Poetfest 2025 Schedule

Thursday, April 10
Door Open 6:00pm | Showtime 6:30pm | Open Mic 7:30pm
The event kicks off at The Waterworks with Beat Poet Summit … a showcase of Past and Present Beat Poet Laureates followed by community open mic hour. Presented by National Beat Poetry Foundation.

Friday, April 11
9:00am-5:00pm — Flagler College Campus (free). Featuring author discussions and presentations, and a keynote presentation. The English Department hosts an off-campus open mic in the evening.

9:00am-2:00pm — Jay’s Place – 1st floor in Ringhaver Student Center. Registration, Book Bazaar, and Festival Contact Center.

4:00pm-4:50pm — Virginia Room, 2nd floor in Ringhaver Student Center. Keynote Presentation followed by book signing and meet and greet.

6:30pm-8:30pm — Open Mic at Relampago Coffee Lab. Sign up sheet will be out at 6:00pm. Hosted by the English Department of Flagler College.

Saturday, April 12
9:00am-5:00pm — Flagler College Campus (free). Featuring Student and Faculty showcases, Book Bazaar, SJC Library display, author talks and panels, and featured poets.
