Join us for the St. Johns County Veterans Day Celebration at Anastasia Baptist Church on Saturday, November 11, 2024. Celebrating and Honoring All Who Served! Bring your family and friends and come help us honor all our veterans on this special day!
The theme this year is the Gulf War – Desert Shield – Desert Storm. As always, we are honoring all veterans on this day for their service but are mindful of those who served during the Gulf War in a harsh environment called ‘the sandbox’.
Doors open at 9:00am
The Traveling Vietnam and War on Terror Walls will be on display in the Atrium. There will also be over 40 display tables from local Not for Profits and Military Groups with military displays.
Ceremony begins promptly at 11:00am
Keynote speaker is St. Johns County Sherfiff Robert A. Hardwick, an Operation Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom veteran.
This year we feature Nationally acclaimed LCdr. Vann Morriss, USN (ret); he’ll be doing his rendition of “Old Glory and 21 Gun Salute”. There will also be patriotic entertainment by the St. Augustine High School Chorale, along with participation by local JROTC’s and Sea Cadets.
