Celebrate National Poetry Month at The Waterworks with Floetry: Florida Poetry Showcase with Open Mic.   Free Admission

When: Sunday, April 28, 2024

Touring poets, Tony Ehrlich and David B. Axelrod, will be featured at 3:00pm.  A brief book signing opportunity follows, then a community open mic featuring the first 5 who sign up.

If you would like to share a poem during Open Mic, please arrive at 2:30pm and get your name on the list with the facilitator. The 5 poets will have 5 minutes each.

At 4:00pm, the readers will be called to the podium in the order their names appear on the sign-up sheet.  Share your polished poems or bust out fresh ink from your notebook.

The April gathering will be the second in an eight-part series of monthly events celebrating creative writing and reciting presented by Ancient City Poets, and the St. Augustine PoetFest.  This series is coordinated by Chris Bodor, in recognition of his role as the Beat Poet Laureate for the State of Florida
