Poets and poetry fans … head to The Waterworks for the Poetry Open Mic.  Celebrate your “write” to assemble on the last Sunday of July!  Poets of all skill levels are given an opportunity to share their poems.  Invite a friend or two or three to cheer you on.

When:  Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 3:00pm-4:30pm

Readers are invited to present poems that speak to the concept of the “independence dance” – freedom, fireworks and words that work their way into your heart. The theme is meant as a writing prompt and it is your choice if you want to follow the theme or not. Give us two or three of your polished poems or share fresh ink from your notebook.

You’ll be called to the podium in the order your names appear on the list. Each presentation is limited to 5 minutes max.

Time-line:
2:30pm — Open Mic Sign Up
3:00pm — Open Mic – first 15 names on sign-up sheet
4:30pm — Networking / Meet & Greet

Free Admission

Presented by Ancient City Poets and St. Johns Cultural Council.
