Join the St. Augustine Art Association for their 2024 Summer Art Camp!  Students will explore a variety of mediums and techniques to encourage art appreciation and critical thinking, as well as allow students to experiment with their own creativity.

When: 9:00am-12:00pm — Weeks of June 10-14 | 17-21 | 24-28

2024 Summer Art Camp Class Schedule:

June 10-14 — Mixed Media Magic
Explore the art and alchemy of mixed media through combining traditional and experimental art materials. Play with texture, color and composition through one and two-dimensional collage.
Recommended for ages 6 to 10 and 11 to 14.

June 17-21 — Sketchbook Studio
Grab your sketchbooks and join us as we explore fun and creative drawing techniques and learn the basics. Through line, form, and texture we’ll realize the wonders an artist can create with a simple pencil! Learning about the color wheel and rule of 3s grid will add dimensions of color, value and composition to make our drawings come alive and pull a viewer in! Together, we’ll unlock the secrets to drawing with confidence.
Recommended for ages 6 to 10 and 11 to 14.

June 24-28 — Lights, Camera, Click!
Don’t just take photos — learn to make photos! This week, we’re exploring the world around us through a camera lens. Learn about the basics of photography and practice the full process — from arranging scenes to creating a compelling composition. Hands-on experience and field trips through Historic Downtown.
Recommended for ages 11 to 14.

Cost: $175 per weekly session — includes supplies. Space is very limited!

Students should bring their own snacks and drinks.
