Aviles Street Festival

Everyone is welcome to the Aviles Street Festival … Sunday, September 8, 2024 from 12:00pm-9:00pm.  Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of St. Augustine’s Sister City relationship with Aviles, Spain!

Enjoy lively music and dance, food, art, and more at this free, family-friendly event! Explore this quaint and historic district brimming with charming galleries, boutiques, restaurants, and fascinating museums.

Plein Air Paint Out

As part of this celebratory event, a one-day Plein Air Paint Out is being held. Selected artists will be painting in and around Aviles Street throughout the day. In addition to watching the artists paint on location, observers will be able to visit the St. Augustine Art Association’s gallery to see (or buy) works-in-progress and finished paintings.

Musical Performance by Tejedor

Be sure to stroll over to the Plaza de la Constitución at 2:00pm for Aviles-based, folk band Tejedor.  Bring your chairs/blankets to get comfy and enjoy the Asturian folk music and dance!

Presented by the St. Johns Cultural Council, the City of St. Augustine, the St. Augustine Art Association, and the merchants and museums of Aviles Street.
