Civil Rights activist, author, and former journalist, Charles Cobb will speak during the morning worship service at St. Paul AME Church on on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 10:45am.  Cobb was a trainer with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). The organization worked with students nationwide to prepare for lunch counter sit-in demonstrations.

There will be a reception following the morning worship service with a brief presentation on the kick-off of the 100th anniversary of the Excelsior High School.

Free and open to the public.

The event is one of several celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement in St. Augustine.
