City of St. Augustine Arbor Day Ceremony

The City of St. Augustine’s 43rd Annual Arbor Day Ceremony will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 10:00am in Connor Park.

Ceremony Information

There will be remarks by Mayor Nancy Sikes-Kline as well as Street Tree Advisory Committee (STAC) Chair, Fremont Latimer.  City officials will plant a Sand Live Oak tree and there will be a reading of a poem by the city’s Poet Laureate Dr. Ann Browning Masters to commemorate the event.

Free tree saplings will be distributed at the ceremony from 10:00am to 2:00pm – while supplies last.  City staff will be giving away Persimmon, Red Cedar, Winged Elm and Longleaf Pine saplings.

Parking Information

Parking in the neighborhood is limited; walking or bike-riding is encouraged.
