The public is invited to join the City of St. Augustine for Don Pedro Menendez de Avilés Birthday Celebration on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00am.  Help mark his 505th Birthday with a brief, wreath laying ceremony at the base of his statue in front of City Hall.

A processional and a reading of the proclamation by a group of reenactors from Historic Florida Militia is included, as well as remarks offered by Mayor Nancy Sikes-Kline, followed by light refreshments and cake.

The event marks the kick-off of the 100th Anniversary Celebration year of the St. Augustine’s “sister city” relationship with Aviles, Spain.
