Join GTM Research Reserve staff and/or volunteers on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:00am-11:00am for a guided Family Seining activity.

Please Note: Due to Hurricane Milton, GTM Research Reserve’s (GTM) Visitor Center and public use areas – Guana Dam, Guana Trails, and North, Middle and South Beach Access Parking Lots – will be closed on Wednesday & Thursday, October 9 & 10.   On Friday, October 12,  if impacts from the storm are determined to be inaccessible or unsafe, GTM will then be closed until further notice.  Please check the website for any updates.

Visitors will get the chance to pull a seine net through Guana Lake.  Collect species of fish, crabs and other marine life.  Learn about the animals and their roles in Guana Lake.

All necessary gear including waders and boots will be provided.

Be sure to bring your insect repellent, sunscreen, water and hat.

Please meet at the Guana Dam Recreational Area 15 minutes prior.
