Founder’s Day Weekend Plein Air Paint Out

Calling all artists and art lovers to the Founder’s Day Weekend Plein Air Paint Out in downtown St. Augustine. In celebration of the founding of St. Augustine, the St. Augustine Art Association and the St. Johns Cultural Council are hosting the four-day event.

When: September 5-8, 2025 (times may vary daily)

Experience the town’s Old-World charm and architectural beauty through the time-honored tradition of painting en plein air (outdoors).  In addition to watching the artists paint on location, observers will be able to visit the St. Augustine Art Association gallery to see (or buy) works-in-progress and finished paintings.

Other possibilities for viewing the paintings created during the Paint Out include:

* Fantastic Florida Exhibit at the Art Association — November 7-December 25, 2025
* Art in Public Spaces “Historic Impressions on a Modern Canvas” Exhibit at the St. Johns County Admin Building Rotunda Gallery — October 9, 2025 – January 12, 2026
