Mark your calendars so you’ll be sure to head to the St. Johns County Fairgrounds for the for the Jimmy Jam BBQ Slam on Saturday, January 11, 2025 — 10:00am-6:00pm.  The Biggest BBQ Competition in North Florida!  Featuring the best pitmasters from across the nation competing at either the Backyard or Pro level.

Honoring James Wray and embodying everything Jimmy loved…helping others, BBQ and cars.  Every dollar raised goes to help meet the needs of people throughout the community needing a helping hand!

Event Schedule

10:00am  — Gates Open | Free Parking

11:00am — Sign-up for Cornhole Tournament | 12:00pm — Bags begin “flying”

11:00am-3:00pm — Chowder tasting begins in the Chowda Bowl – brought to you by the Food Mafia . Local restaurants will offer their take on the classic chowder to see who wins the top prize.

11:00am-5:00pm — Live music with acts including Stephen Quinn, Dewey Via Band, and Orlando Mendez.

12:00pm — Car Show trophies presented to the best whips.

2:00pm-4:00pm — Barbeque will be served to the public. Be sure to taste all the smoky dishes to vote for the People’s Choice Award.

5:00pm — Awards Presentation – Teams will serve up barbequed chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket. A panel of certified judges will decide the winners.

Tickets:

$10.00 – until September 30, 2024
$15.00 – beginning October 1, 2024
$20.00 – beginning December 1, 2024
Free for kids 10 and under.
Please Note: The Cornhole Tournament and Car Show require additional tickets.
