St. Johns County residents and Lightner Museum Members are invited to a Community Open House to celebrate the opening of American Scenery and Souvenirs: Transferware by Paul Scott.  This is a free community event.

When: Thursday, April 24, 2025 6:00pm to 7:30pm

There is a Lightner Museum Members only preview beginning at 5:30pm.  Then, the doors will open to the general public beginning at 6:00pm.

Please enter the building through the Radzinski Garden located at the rear of the building.

Guests can enjoy live music by Raisin Cake Orchestra.  And, beverages will be available for donation.

About American Scenery and Souvenirs … the work of contemporary artist Paul Scott, who uses traditional designs associated with mass produced domestic tableware and alters them to comment on modern society. The exhibition presents Scott’s work in dialogue with vintage transferware from the Lightner Museum collection to showcase Scott’s technical and poignant interventions.
