During Women’s History Month , The Woman’s Exchange of St. Augustine will hold a special exhibit, a trolley tour, and two Lunch & Learn events. The Lunch & Learn Events are about the St. Augustine friendship of Zora Neale Hurston and Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.
Zora Neale Hurston, “the daughter of a slave”, and Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, “an upper-middle-class Yankee”, first met at Florida Normal in St. Augustine. Hurston was there teaching creative writing.
