Military Veteran Fishing

Military Veteran Fishing Class – Cast Net Fishing

Veterans … be sure to sign up for the free Military Veteran Fishing class that is being offered.  The monthly program is designed in partnership with the VA to provide military veterans of all abilities an opportunity to gain skills and knowledge about fishing.

Date|Time:   Wednesday, February 25, 2026  — 9:00am-11:00am

Location: Usina Boat Ramp – Pavilion

Learn the basics of cast net fishing in this hands-on program. Practice proper throwing techniques.  Class consists of hands-on activities as well as an opportunity to go fishing.  Bring your own equipment if possible.  If necessary, gear can be provided.

Participants must possess a valid shoreline saltwater fishing license or fall under the exempt criteria determined by FWC.  Click for Saltwater Shoreline Fishing Information.
