“Light-Up! Night” 2025 – Nights of Lights Begins

Join us on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in downtown St. Augustine for this magical event … one of the most anticipated events in St. Augustine!  It’s a great way to start the Holiday season!

Light-Up Schedule

Festivities begin at 4:00pm in front of the Lightner Museum with a performance by Showtime USA, a song and dance troupe of young people.

At 5:30pm, make your way to the Gazebo in the Plaza de la Constitución for the start of the All Star Orchestra.  They take the stage with great swing and big band sounds all in grand holiday style.  Enjoy listening to the Holiday music while waiting for the much anticipated “lighting” countdown.

Then …. at 6:30pm, participate in the much awaited Countdown for the lighting of the Christmas Tree.  But wait …  there’s more.  Another countdown follows, setting downtown St. Augustine aglow in millions of tiny white lights.  A sight to truly experience!

Light-Up! Night Honorees

The honorees for this years’ ceremony are Rusty Hall – President of the Menorcan Cultural Society – and Lea Craig – one of the founders of The Minorcan Experience.  They’ll have the honor of lighting the Plaza and the holiday tree from the gazebo. “This is an early recognition of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Minorcans settling in St. Augustine,” Mayor Nancy Sikes-Kline announced. “They helped establish a strong and enduring community and are an integral part of our history and culture. It is my privilege as mayor to select the Light-Up! Night honorees every year, and this year is no exception.”

Stick around afterwards.  Enjoy the entertainment as the Holiday music continues.  Do some Christmas shopping, maybe grab a bite to eat, or just wander around downtown and soak in the ambience of downtown St. Augustine all aglow.
