Ovico Gallery is celebrating Black History Month with Contemporary Masterpieces by African artist Chike Onuorah, a Nigerian-born painter.  The exhibit kick’s off with an Open House on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.  The event is free.

Onuorah is renowned for his bold use of color and wide range of subjects and styles informed by his world travels and raw talent.  The ever-rotating collection features a careers’ worth of works by the artist.

The event is aimed at showcasing the achievements of Black artists, as well as awakening interest in artworks from the African continent.

Live music, light refreshments and cocktails will round out the festivities.
