Planet Band Camp Returns to The St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Thursday, April 18, 2024 …. featuring Staind, Ayron Jones, & Tim Montana.

Staind is comprised of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis, lead guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist and backing vocalist Johnny April, and drummer Sal Giancarelli. Formed in 1995, the band has released seven studio albums and eight Top 10 singles, selling over 15 million albums worldwide. ‘Break The Cycle’, released in 2001 and RIAA certified 5x platinum, featured the smash single, “It’s Been Awhile” … one of the most played songs in modern rock radio history, spending 20 weeks at Number 1.

In 2021, as the world looked like it was burning down due to the COVID-19 pandemic and global protests sparked by the murder of George Floyd, Seattle-born rockstar Ayron Jones was achieving his dream. That’s when his song, “Mercy”, from his debut major label record release, ‘Child of the State’, hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Rock Chart … making Jones one of the few solo Black artists to achieve the feat. Now Jones is set to release the follow-up to that LP, ‘Chronicles of the Kid’. He’s been hailed by American Songwriter as “one of the biggest names in the genre”.

For as much as Tim Montana may be known as a wild man, he really asserts himself as a tried-and-true storyteller. He went from a rough youth spent off-the-grid in a trailer powered by a faulty generator to captivating a devout global fanbase, dropping successful independent albums, selling out shows, and earning the endorsement of childhood heroes such as Dave Grohl. Unlocking a creative chemistry with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, their collaborations included “This Beard Came Here to Party”, which served as the anthem for the 2013 World Series champion Boston Red Sox and the Nashville Predators during the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
