Poets and poetry fans … head to The Waterworks for Poetry Open Mic.  Poets of all skill levels are given an opportunity to share their poems.  Invite a friend or two or three to cheer you on.

When:  Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 3:00pm-5:00pm

All are encouraged to share poems that relate to positive change in our community and the world that we live in as we observe 100 Thousand Poets for Change Day.  You can be an agent of change with your written words.  This is the idea behind 100 Thousand Poets for Change, a grassroots organization co-created by the late poet Michael Rothenberg that brings communities together to call for environmental, social, and political change within the framework of peace and sustainability.

You’ll be called to the podium in the order your names appear on the list; usually the first 15 names. Each presentation is limited to 5 minutes max.

Time-line:
2:30pm — Open Mic Sign Up
3:00pm — Open Mic – first 15 names on sign-up sheet
4:30pm — Networking / Meet & Greet

Free Admission

Presented by Ancient City Poets and St. Johns Cultural Council.
