Poetry Open Mic – Sweet Sixteen

Poets and poetry fans … head to The Waterworks for the Poetry Open Mic.  Poets of all skill levels are given an opportunity to share their poems.  Invite a friend or two or three to cheer you on.

When:  Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 3:00pm-5:00pm (normally held the last Sunday of the month)

August makes 16 years with the local poetry community! So, come help celebrate the Sweet Sixteen Anniversary!  Let’s reminisce and reflect … set our sights on the future!

The theme is meant as a writing prompt and it is your choice if you want to follow the theme or not. Give us two or three of your polished poems or share fresh ink from your notebook.

You’ll be called to the podium in the order your names appear on the list. Each presentation is limited to 5 minutes max.

Time-line:
2:30pm — Open Mic Sign Up
3:00pm — Open Mic – first 15 names on sign-up sheet
4:30pm — Networking / Meet & Greet
