Join the St. Augustine Royal Family as they welcome the new Royal Trio for 2025-2026 during the Royal Transfer of Office. The transfer will be held at the Cathedral Basilica West Courtyard on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 6:00pm.

Since 1959, the St. Augustine Royal Family has promoted the City of St. Augustine by portraying the Spanish Royal Trio of King Carlos II, Queen Marianna, and Princess Margarita Maria. The Royal Trio was in reign when the Castillo de San Marcos was decreed to be built in 1672.

Each year, we commemorate this Royal Trio by choosing three heritage natives to portray them and represent St. Augustine throughout the year in various events.
