History buffs … come check out The School of the 16th Century on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 10:00am-4:00pm at the Oldest House Museum.  Set-up takes place after Noon on Friday, January 10, 2025.

This event is designed to show/teach you everything you would want to know about life in the 16th Century (1513-1586) in St. Augustine.  Historic Weapons * Artillery * Armor – Equipment and Accessories * Clothing * Crafts – Culinary Arts * Religious Practices * Camp Life.

Learn about military drills and how to fire a crossbow or musket … or even a cannon.  Watch demonstrations about clothing, cooking and other skills that were used during that timeframe.

Presented by the Men of Menéndez Living History Interpreters and St. Augustine Historical Society.
