October is National Sensory Processing Awareness Month!   So …. please touch the artwork at the Tactile Art Show October 4-27, 2024 at the St. Augustine Art Association!  In-gallery and online.

Please Note:  Due to the projected path and predicted effects of Hurricane Milton, the St. Augustine Art Association will be closed Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10, 2024. If conditions permit, the gallery will re-open on Friday, October 11 or Saturday, October 12 and resume regular gallery hours.

STAAA is hosting the tactile exhibit along with the Florida Deaf & Blind Association and the FSDB (Florida School for the Deaf & the Blind).

The annual Tactile Art Show turns the tables on museum etiquette creating a fun and interactive opportunity for visitors to experience art in a unique way.  The art is not just visually appealing, but it’s also engaging for the blind, visually impaired, or sighted.   Included are sculptures, assemblages, ceramics, fiber and other media.

Exhibit opens October 4, 2024 during First Friday Art Walk from 5:00pm-8:00pm.

Gallery Hours:  Tuesdays through Sundays, 12:00pm-4:00pm

Free Admission.
