Celebrate Veterans Day with a community gathering at Anastasia Baptist Church on Monday, November 11, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. This morning event is dedicated to honoring the sacrifices and contributions of veterans, providing an opportunity for reflection, respect, and appreciation.

Veterans Day Parking

City-owned parking lots and on-street parking will be free on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11. Parking in city-owned parking lots and on-street parking is free on all national holidays, including Veterans Day, except for the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and the Historic Downtown Parking Facility.

Drivers are urged to confirm if a lot is owned by the City of St. Augustine and not a private operator as many of those lots have strict towing policies.  Parking will be enforced for all vehicles parked illegally, including in areas reserved for delivery, franchised sightseeing vehicles and taxis, or vehicles on sidewalks or against yellow curbs.

Wrap Up

As Veterans Day approaches, we invite everyone to reflect on the significance of this holiday and join in honoring those who have served. St. Augustine provides a wonderful setting to commemorate this day, blending historical charm with community spirit. Whether you’re participating in a local event, enjoying military discounts, or simply taking in the city’s sights, there’s something special for everyone. Let’s come together to recognize and appreciate our veterans, making this Veterans Day a meaningful and memorable experience in the heart of St. Augustine.
