The public is invited to join us at The Waterworks for the St. Johns County Black Heritage Trail Launch Party. Help celebrate the launch of the trail and the accompanying guidebook.
St. Johns Cultural Council collaborated with local leaders and historians to develop the trail. From early contributions to the nation’s founding to pivotal roles in the Civil Rights Movement, St. Johns County’s Black history is rich, complex, and ongoing. This trail and guidebook honor that legacy and invite you to explore it.
When: Wednesday, August 13, 2025 — 4:00pm-6:00pm
The event features remarks from:
• Regina Gayle Phillips, Executive Director, Lincolnville Museum
• Thomas Jackson, Founding Member, Fort Mose Historical Society
