A Classic Theatre Auditions Notice for Miracle on 34th Street

A Classic Theatre is holding auditions at The Waterworks for a young actress to play “Susan” in Miracle on 34th Street – a Live Radio Play. While this is primarily an acting role, this character will have a solo song and must be able to sing. The song’s range is less than an octave (d4 to c5).

Description of Character:

8-year old Susan is a rather precocious young girl in 1948 New York. Her mother works for Macy’s, the famous department store. She has been brought up to be practical and realistic so she does not believe in Santa Claus – until she meets Kris Kringle.

This a radio play with music and all actors will read from a script.

* Auditions will be scenes from the play.
* Please prepare a song and bring sheet music to the audition.
