Date | Time: Friday, July 26, 2024 | 10:00am-4:00pm
The showcase highlights the traditions of the Gullah Geechee people .. enslaved Africans who historically lived in the coastal regions of South Carolina, Georgia, and parts of North Carolina and Florida.

The Gullah Geechee developed a distinct culture that blends predominantly African but also European and Native American traditions, shown through their language, arts, and spiritual practices. Their isolation on islands allowed them to preserve many of their ways of life, making their culture one of the most distinct and intact African American cultures in the United States.
