A Classic Theatre is holding Auditions at The Waterworks for ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ … a live radio play.  Several roles are still available.

When:
Saturday, October 5, 2024    — 11:00am-2:00pm
Saturday, October 12, 2024 — 11:00am-1:00pm ** New Date — rescheduled from October 9.

It’s an exciting way to bring the holiday classic to life! Travel back in time to when productions were performed LIVE on the radio.   We all know the film, but bringing this production to life as a radio play gives it a whole new twist with interesting new possibilities for actors.

An ensemble brings a few dozen characters to the stage. The story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

Actors will portray several characters.

Character Roles
* George Bailey
* Mary Bailey
* Mr. Potter
* Clarence Oddbody (the angel)
* Versatile ensemble actors who will play the 45 other characters

Auditions will consist of selected readings from the play.  Please come prepared to demonstrate vocal variety to create different characters.

If you would like to audition and cannot attend this audition, please contact Grace Reed at grace@aclassictheatre.org

Performance dates: December 6-8 & 13-15, 2024 at The Waterworks.
